The Carmi Chamber of Commerce held their 72nd Annual Dinner Monday evening at First Christian Church. Tracy Orr, White County CEO Facilitator delivered the keynote address about the White County CEO Program. In addition, the audience heard from four of the fourteen students in the program.
The Large Business of the Year Award was presented to Little Giant, while the Small Business of the Year was presented to Taylor Eye Care.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the 2016 Carmi Citizen of the Year Award to Tim Gholson. In presenting the award, Chamber Vice President Toby Brown highlighted a number of service items Gholson does for the community and individuals.
