Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament Results Announced

The Carmi Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Tournament was played on August 21, 2021 at the Carmi Country Club.

All proceeds from the annual golf tournament benefit the Chamber’s scholarship program, business grant program, and the White County CEO program.

Morning teams were treated to mild temps, light breezes, and clear sky, while the afternoon teams teed off in dry conditions but were cut short due to lightening, rain, and wet conditions.   Whether the teams played in the morning or afternoon, each team received free items provided by tournament Gold Sponsor- First Bank and Silver Sponsor- Fairfield Memorial Hospital/Horizon Healthcare, and were also provided with lunch, prepared by Huck’s Market.

After score cards were turned in the winners of the day were announced as follows: First Place was awarded to the team of Kevin Wolff, Mark Stendeback, Drew Riley, and Tim Riley, second place honors went to the team of Mitchell Schoenheit, Mark Schoenheit, Curt Hale, and Adam Winkleman (The Courtyard), and Third Place to the team of Lance Barbre, Kent Sallee, Chris Bailey, and Bryan Hughes (First Bank).  And, while no one was lucky enough to win the $10,000 Hole-in-One prize, there were other contest winners.   The Closest to the Pin prize was presented to Kevin Wolff, while Longest Putt prize went to Neal Cutchin.  Men’s Long Drive honors went to Mark Stendeback and Women’s Long Drive to Faith Hohman.

A special “Thank You” to all of this year’s sponsors.

A list of the sponsors can be found here.

“The chamber is so very appreciative of the support we receive from our sponsors and players.  We would not be able to invest in the community through our scholarship and grant programs without their continued support.” stated Kelly Northcott of the Carmi Chamber of Commerce.
