The Carmi Chamber of Commerce will host their 71st annual dinner Monday evening, October 5 at the First Christian Church. The event will begin with a social hour at 6 p.m. with dinner to be served at 6:30 p.m.
This year’s event will once again include the State of the City address which will be delivered by Carmi Mayor Jeff Pollard. This year’s featured speaker will be Craig Lindvahl with the Midland Institute. He will be speaking about the CEO program that the Carmi Chamber of Commerce and White County CEO Board is working to bring to White County.
The evening will also include the announcement of the Carmi Citizen of the Year along with the presentation of the Large and Small Business awards. The night will also include the introduction of five new directors who will assume their duties in October.
The reservation only event is open to the public at a cost of $20 per person. Reservations are required by September 21 to provide a proper meal-count.
