The Carmi Chamber of Commerce Radio Auction is set for March 22 on WRUL 97.3 FM with the air time being donated by Withers Broadcasting. A number of items will be available for auction with all proceeds going to the Chamber of Commerce for Chamber activities and promotion. Items include: $100 gift certificate to Kelly Company Interiors, $30 gift certificate to The Courtyard, $50 gift certificate to Merle Norman Cosmetics and Boutique, car wash and oil change at White County Ford & Chrysler, four buy any large specialty pizza- get a large one topping free coupons from Huck’s, $100 gift certificate to Brown’s Fertilizer & Chemical, LLC, coupon for a large one topping pizza from Casey’s, $20 gift card to Tequilas, oil change from Rice Motor Company, $30 gift certificate to Renshaw’s Dairy Queen Grill and Chill, $70 gift card to Carmi Lumber Company, $50 Wal-Mart gift card, coupons from free small fries, Big Macs and ice cream cones from McDonald’s, gift certificate for a massage from Jane Day Spa, Carmi White County Bulldogs blanket from Logo Graphics, oscillating tool kit ($49.95 value) from Gillard’s Hardware, women’s Jessica McClintock sunglasses ($70 value) from Taylor Eye Care, $20 gift certificate and McCall’s candle from Middle Sister’s, Beanpod Soy Candle from Stein’s Flowers & Gifts, gardening gift basket and massage from Joyner Therapy, chair, Buck knife and Starline flashlight from Blankenship Auto Parts, gift basket ($75 value) from Hippie Hill Produce Plus and an office chair ($229 value) from Reppert’s Office Supply. A few more items have been donated including two broom from Sunflower Broom Shop, a Nike Gold Bag from Logo Graphics and a “Chef for the Night” (gourmet meal cooked in your home) and a Saladmaster Machine ($499 value) from Jeremy Conrad of Smart Cooking: Tri-State.
Also up for auction is $1059.99 value Kenmore 4.7 cu. foot capacity Washing Machine (model number 796.31512211) donated by Sears Hometown Store in Carmi. The winner of the washing machine will be responsible for pick up of the machine. Connectors are not included.
Those interested in purchasing an item should listen to 97.3 FM WRUL from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22 and call in to bid on items which they are interested. Additionally, the Carmi Chamber of Commerce will accept bids via e-mail beginning at 9:00 a.m. on March 18 and ending at noon on March 22 for both the office chair donated by Reppert’s Office Supply and the washing machine donated by Sears. The highest bid on each item will serve as the opening bid on the radio on March 22. Bids for these two items only can be e-mail to chamber@cityofcarmi.com.
