Chamber Ribbon Cutting for Wabash Christian Outpatient Therapy and Medical Clinic

Ribbon Cutting WCRC

The Carmi Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting on May 29, 2014 for the new Wabash Christian Outpatient Therapy & Medical Clinic. In addition to representatives of the Chamber, Sandra Bryant, Executive Director of Wabash Christian Retirement Center, Randy Dauby, CEO of Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeanboro and Jay Purvis, CEO of Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel and Mayor Jeff Pollard were in attendance.
The new facility is an extension and expansion of current Wabash Christian therapy services and a new partnership with other area professionals. Bryant has worked closely with Dauby and Bradley Futrell, COO of Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro and Purvis and Karissa Turner, Director of Physician Services of Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel, in an effort to bring more medical services and specialists to the area.

Doctor Kalpesh Bhesaniya and Nurse Practitioner Paul Havrilka of Hamilton Memorial Hospital will share days at the clinic to provide services of primary care for patients of all ages. They will staff the clinic Monday through Friday for existing and new patients.

Wabash General Hospital will be expanding their orthopedic services at the Wabash Christian Therapy & Medical Clinic through Drs. Justin Miller/orthopedic surgeon and Karsten Slater/Sports Medicine Physician, who will alternate weekly (on Wednesdays).

In addition, The Wabash Christian Therapy and Medical Clinic will offer laboratory and radiology through the services of Hamilton Memorial Hospital. They will be equipped to provide such services as laboratory testing, EKGs and x-rays on site for anyone who brings a physician’s order to the clinic.

“We are pleased to have this new facility in Carmi and welcome Hamilton Memorial Hospital and Wabash General Hospital to our community,” state Holly Healy, Executive Director of the Carmi Chamber of Commerce. For more information about the services available, please call 618-382-2927.
