The Independence Day holiday will bring much activity to Carmi. The Carmi Lions Club 7th Annual Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show, along with tractors on display, will be held at the White County Fairgrounds. In addition, concessions and vendors will be available throughout the day.
The Carmi Chamber of Commerce is once again partnering with the City of Carmi and area businesses and individuals for the annual fireworks show which will begin at dusk. Once again, synchronized patriotic music will be broadcast on WRUL. The Chamber is also accepting donations toward the $14000 display. Those wishing to contribute should mail a check to the Carmi Chamber of Commerce, 225 E Main Street, Carmi, IL 62821.
Carmi Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Holly Healy noted, “Carmi has several wonderful opportunities to enjoy the Independence Day holiday. As part of our Shop Carmi First campaign, the Chamber of Commerce encourages you to take advantage of the entertainment right here at home.”
