The Carmi Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce this year’s Gingerbread House Decorating Contest as part of It’s a White County Christmas. The contest is open to any resident of White County. Individuals or groups may enter. Entries must be turned in from Noon to 3 p.m. Friday, November 21 at the Chamber of Commerce office, located at 225 E Main Street in Carmi. Entry forms are available online at www.whitecountychristmas.com or by calling the Chamber office at 382-2662.
There are five divisions for individual entries: made from scratch, age 11-17; made from scratch, age 18 and older; made from kit, age 10 and under; made from kit, age 11-17; made from kit, age 18 and older. There is also a division for entries made by a family. First place in each category wins $20, with second place earning the winner $10.
