Lighted Christmas Parade Line-Up Announced

The 2014 Lighted Christmas Parade will begin at 6 p.m. on November 29. Entries are as follows:

2. Color Guard
3. Mayor Jeff Pollard
4. David Campbell, Citizen of the Year, Parade Marshall
5. Brown’s Fertilizer and Chemical
6. Baby Miss White County Christmas Landi Slay
7. Tiny Miss White County Christmas Justice Duncan
8. Little Miss White County Christmas Allee Martin
9. Jr. Miss White County Christmas Alexis Conner
10. Miss White County Christmas Olivia Bohleber
11. Bethlehem Revisited entry 1
12. First Bank
13. Carmi Lions Club
14. Carmi Taekwondo
15. Hippie Hill Produce Plus
16. Miss White County Dayna Burnett

Those wishing to participate in the parade, but have not yet made an entry, should contact the Chamber office at 618-382-7606 by 2 p.m. on Friday, November 28.
The parade will depart from the First Baptist Church parking lot (west of the building). Floats will travel down Oak to Third Street. At Third, the parade will turn north (left) and proceed to Stewart Street.
At Stewart Street, the parade will turn east (right) and proceed to Cherry Street. The parade will turn east (left) on Cherry Street and travel to Main Cross Street. At Main Cross, the parade will turn right and proceed to Veteran’s Memorial Park.
The Tree Lighting will be held immediately following the parade. Santa will then visit with the children at his house which will be located on Main Cross Street. Photo packages will be available from Green Man Design Studio, but are not required to see Santa. This will be the first of many weekends through December that Santa will be taking orders from the children.
The Lighted Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting are brought to you in part by the City of Carmi, Hale Body Shop, White County Coal, Hucks, Dillman Services and Peoples National Bank. It’s a White County Christmas in produced by the Carmi Chamber of Commerce and brought to you in part by Geo. N. Mitchell Drilling and Brown’s Fertilizer and Chemical.
